Banking deals of recent significance

• Acted as lead lawyers for the BNP Paribas Securities Services S.A. project team in the integration of the acquired RBS Custody Bank business across the offshore Islands of Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man.
• Acted for HSBC on the development and operating funding for a new four star hotel on the Jersey Waterfront to be operated by SAS Radisson.
• Acted for Royal Bank of Scotland PLC in connection with a Euro 45 million facility to P123 Limited and P123 (CI) Limited, which were established as feeder vehicles into the Permira Europe III Fund.
• Acted for Bank Leumi on its acquisition of the Riggs Bank subsidiary banking and trust company operations in Jersey and on the subsequent reorganisation.
• Acted with SJ Berwin for the Bank of Scotland in the circa £110 million refinancing of the loan facilities in place for the Healthcare Receivables Group and its English and Scottish properties.
• Continuing advice on issues of Jersey law to Bayerische Landesbank as original lead lender of three syndicated lenders to the F1 Group Holding Companies.
• Acted for Julius Baer in its issue of CHF225 million perpetual preferred securities guaranteed by Julius Baer AG by way of a corresponding Subordinated Loan Note and originally funded by UBS.
• Advised on the complex cessation in Jersey of banking, trust and investment business by BBVA.
• Advised on the SG Hambros acquisition of the Brown Shipley banking business.
• Advised on the restructuring/repayment of a £90 million Jersey loan facility for leading global bank.
