The Commercial Property team of lawyers in Jersey and Guernsey advises an international and Channel Islands client base on a broad range of commercial and development real estate projects.

Our clients include the major developers and lenders in the Channel Islands.  The team is recognised for its considerable experience in dealing with all aspects of commercial property work and gives priority to speed, efficiency and excellent service standards.

Key areas of advice include:

• sale and acquisitions, including the negotiation of the associated contractual documentation and the drafting and registration of related documents;
• construction, including advising on the drafting of agreements for significant commercial property developments;
• leases, including advice and assistance in connection with the negotiation and preparation of lease documentation;
• matters requiring planning advice;
• advising lenders on the taking of security over real property;
• portfolio management, where we often work closely with surveyors, valuation companies, trust professionals and property portfolio managers.

The Property lawyers predominantly advise clients on non-contentious property matters, however, we regularly capitalise on the skills and expertise of our colleagues in our established Dispute Resolution Group to act on contentious matters wherever necessary.

The team acted as lead legal adviser to SandpiperCI in the agreement to sell its Channel Islands' pub estate, drinks and tobacco distribution and brewery businesses to entities controlled by Legal and General.  It also acts for Jersey's Waterfront Enterprise Board.
