Bermuda, Cayman Islands and Guernsey chapters authored for Lexology Getting The Deal Through Private Client 2021

Lawyers from our trusts and private wealth practice have authored the Bermuda, Cayman Islands and Guernsey chapters for the 2021 edition of Lexology Getting The Deal Through Private Client.

The guide, which draws together the main issues of importance to private clients in 20 jurisdictions, includes commentary on taxation, trusts and foundations, same-sex marriages and civil unions, succession, capacity and power of attorney, and immigration.

The Bermuda chapter was authored by partner Keith Robinson, counsel Ashley Fife, senior consultant Honor Desmond-Tetlow and senior associate Jay Webster; the Cayman Islands chapter was authored by partner Bernadette Carey and counsel Chris Duncan; and the Guernsey chapter was authored by partner Russell Clark. All three chapters were co-authored with Paul Hodgson of Butterfield Trust.

The contributing lawyers form part of Carey Olsen's award-winning trusts and private wealth team which has been named Offshore Firm of the Year for two consecutive years at the highly respected Chambers High Net Worth Awards.
