Carey Olsen continues to lead offshore market in Legal 500 UK rankings
Carey Olsen has once again been ranked as the leading law firm in the Channel Islands after gaining 18 top-tier rankings in the 2020 edition of Legal 500 UK.
A leading directory for the legal industry, Legal 500 grades law firms following a thorough and independent research process, which includes interviews with clients and peers as well as information provided by the firms themselves.
Carey Olsen has secured a clean sweep of Tier One rankings across nine practice areas in Guernsey, along with nine Tier One rankings in Jersey.
12 Carey Olsen partners are featured in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, which is reserved for law firm partners who 'are at the pinnacle of the profession' and have received 'constant praise by their clients for continued excellence'. In addition, 22 of the firm's lawyers are recognised as 'leading individuals', 11 as 'next generation partners' and eight as 'rising stars'.
The publication cites a significant amount of feedback from industry peers and clients, with endorsements describing Carey Olsen as 'the best offshore firm experience' and how the firm 'often goes that extra mile to assist in sometimes very complex situations'. Further praise for the firm includes how it is a 'serious quality outfit whose legal and commercial knowledge in Guernsey is second-to-none' and 'a stand-out firm in Jersey - the quality, consistency and commerciality of service is head and shoulders above its competitors'.
