Lawyers from Carey Olsen’s Cayman Islands office have been recognised by the 2017 Chambers Global Rankings guide for their high level of client service and attention to detail.
The guide highlights the strong client service the investment funds team provides – having been praised by sources as ‘really responsive, top quality lawyers, competitively priced’. It notes that the team has grown rapidly since the office’s launch in 2012 and offers a broad range of fund services including high-end value matters. Cayman Islands managing partner Jarrod Farley was singled out as a notable practitioner for his strong track record for structuring funds and alternative investment vehicles for venture capital and work with sectors such as infrastructure and oil and gas. He was described by clients as ‘thoughtful, responsive, creative and quick’. Partner Anthony McKenzie was also featured for his work on fund structuring with sources recognising him as a ‘good combination of being very personable as well as really sharp and serious when it is required.’ The corporate and finance team was praised for its attention to detail with one source commending their helpful advice and thoroughness. Partner Nick Bullmore was noted for his work on a number of high-value debt securities issuances and major financing transactions and was described as a ‘quality, commercially-orientated lawyer’. Mr Farley said: “This praise from Chambers Global reflects the calibre and strength of our offering in the Cayman Islands and the high regard in which our lawyers are held by our clients and referrers.”
