Carey Olsen partners contribute Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey chapters to latest edition of International Estate Planning: A Reference Guide

Carey Olsen trusts and private wealth partners Bernadette Carey, Russell Clark and Keith Dixon have contributed the Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey chapters to the second edition of International Estate Planning: A Reference Guide.

The book, which is co-authored by Barbara Hauser, an internationally recognised private client and family offices lawyer, and Melissa Langa, managing partner of Boston law firm Bove & Langa, is regarded as an authoritative resource for those seeking key information in the estate planning field. It sheds light on the cultural and international differences in attitudes and practices towards estate planning instruments such as trusts, wills, or foreign gifts, the concept of testamentary freedom and a host of other matters, along with 19 jurisdictional estate planning summaries from local lawyers around the world.

Russell said: "It was an honour to be invited to pen the Guernsey chapter for such an invaluable reference tool to the global international estate planning industry. It is also testament to our standing among offshore law firms in this practice area that Keith and I were chosen to provide both chapters for the Channel Islands and Bernadette was selected to do the same for the Cayman Islands ."

Keith added: "I was delighted to be asked to provide the Jersey chapter in Barbara and Melissa's fabulous book and to have played a small part in its publication. It is an extraordinary resource and one that I'm sure its readers will truly value."
