Carey Olsen proud to support International Women's Day 2020

Carey Olsen is proud to be among those organisations recognising and supporting International Women's Day on Sunday 8 March – a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

This year's International Women's Day theme is 'Each for Equal', which calls on everyone to work together to achieve gender equality and how a gender equal world can be healthier, wealthier and more harmonious.

As has been the case for a number of years, Catalyst and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) are once again Charities of Choice for International Women's Day. In recognition of the outstanding work performed by both organisations and International Women's Day itself, Carey Olsen is delighted to be making a donation to the charities to further support their missions.

Catalyst works with some of the world's most powerful CEOs and leading companies to help build workplaces that work for women. Founded in 1962, the global non-profit organisation drives change with pioneering research, practical tools, and proven solutions to accelerate and advance women into leadership – because progress for women is progress for everyone. It has also recently rebooted its #BiasCorrect campaign to interrupt unconscious bias by highlighting the power of words used to describe women in the workplace.

As the global umbrella organisation for girl guides and girl scouts, WAGGGS gives them the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, speak out on issues that are important to them and make changes in their communities and countries. The charity's tremendous work is carried out in 150 countries around the world.

International Women's Day has occurred for well over a century, with the first gathering in 1911 supported by more than a million people.
