Carey Olsen remains leading legal adviser to Guernsey investment funds
As of the year ending June 2015, Carey Olsen advised 61.72% of the market by the total number of Guernsey funds advised, an increase of 3.99% on the last year's results. The survey also highlights the significant number of new clients won by the firm during the period with Carey Olsen advising on 36 new Guernsey funds.
The annual guide provides a comprehensive analysis of the performance of all funds serviced in Guernsey. The publication also offers an insight into the primary service providers who are ranked by the number of funds they advise and by total assets under management.
The report shows Carey Olsen remains the market leader for advice to Guernsey-domiciled funds with a market share of 64.29%. This figure represents a growth of 2.87% on the previous year and a lead of 44.84% over its nearest competitor. The firm also made substantial gains across the non-domiciled funds sector with an increase in market share of 8.76%.
Carey Olsen has maintained its impressive track record for private equity fund raisings over the past 12 months with notable deals including advising Park Square Capital on the launch of their Credit Opportunities II Program which raised a total of $2.4 billion of committed capital and advising Dutch private equity firm Waterland Private Equity Investments on its sixth fund which raised €1.55 billion in a short time frame.
