Carey Olsen repeats clean sweep of Tier One rankings in Legal 500 UK

Carey Olsen leads the offshore law firms in the Legal 500 UK tables after achieving top-tier status in all 17 of its practice areas for the second year in a row and retaining its position as the only offshore firm to achieve Tier One rankings across the board.

A key industry guide, Legal 500 grades law firms following a thorough and independent research process, which includes interviews with clients and peers as well as information provided by the firms themselves.

The 2018-19 edition has ranked Carey Olsen in Tier One for all eight practice areas in Guernsey, all eight in Jersey and for its offshore London practice. 30 of the firm's lawyers are recognised as 'leading individuals', while 13 are described as 'next generation lawyers'.

Testimonials from clients interviewed by Legal 500 as part of the publication's research process saw Carey Olsen described as 'the stand-out firm in the Channel Islands' with a reputation for providing 'the perfect balance of client-handling skills, legal acumen and commercial nous’.

Group managing partner Alex Ohlsson said: "Maintaining our position as the leading offshore firm in the Legal 500 UK rankings is testament to the depth and breadth of expertise we possess across our practice teams and the high levels of service we deliver in the Channel Islands and London.

"We would like to thank our clients and peers for their time and positive endorsements during the research process and our staff for their continued commitment and hard work."
