Carey Olsen secures double shortlisting at Citywealth's Magic Circle Awards 2020
Carey Olsen has been shortlisted for both International Law Firm of the Year and UHNW Private Client Services Innovation of the Year at Citywealth's Magic Circle Awards 2020.
The awards, which are now in their 15th year, look to recognise the best advisers and managers in the global private client and wealth management sector, including onshore and offshore law firms. Winners are selected following both public voting and judging by a panel of industry experts.
In respect of its shortlisting for the Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) Private Client Services Innovation of the Year category, Carey Olsen has been specifically recognised for the growth of its Bermuda office and its offering in the fintech sector.
Carey Olsen Bermuda, which recently celebrated its second anniversary, has quickly established itself as a leading player in the Bermuda legal market with a full service offering and a significant and sophisticated client base. The office employs more than 25 staff and was recently named Bermuda's Best Employer for 2019 at the annual Royal Gazette Business Top Ten Employers Awards.
On the fintech front, Carey Olsen has been particularly active with recent matters including advising the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, on the launch of its Jersey-based Sterling and Euro to cryptocurrency (Bitcoin and Ethereum) exchange, and advising trust, fund and corporate services provider Zedra on the launch of its end-to-end solution for the purchase and sale of Bitcoin.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on Monday 26 October, 2020.
