Carey Olsen on shortlist for best offshore law firm at Asia Legal Awards

Hosted by The Asian Lawyer, in association with The American Lawyer, China Law & Practice and Legal Week, the awards look to recognise the region's top lawyers, law firms and in-house teams.

News of the shortlisting follows a busy 12 months for Carey Olsen in the region with the continued growth and expansion of its Asia offering. In June, the firm launched a corporate practice in Hong Kong SAR to complement the firm's existing dispute resolution and insolvency practice, and followed that by adding Bermuda law capabilities in August.

In November, Carey Olsen added a litigation, insolvency and restructuring offering in Singapore, building on the existing corporate and finance practice.

Most recently, Carey Olsen's Hong Kong team moved to the 36th floor of Jardine House, the 52-storey Central building that overlooks Victoria Harbour, to occupy new state of the art offices that provide the firm with double the floor space of its old offices.

Winners of the Asia Legal Awards will be announced during a virtual event on Tuesday 8 September.
