Carey Olsen welcomes two new corporate partners in Jersey
Carey Olsen has announced the appointment of two new partners in its Jersey office. Daniel O’Connor and Peter German join the busy corporate, finance and investment funds group which is one of the strongest in Jersey.
Mr O’Connor joined Carey Olsen in 2008 and specialises in investment funds, private equity and financial services regulation. He has extensive transactional experience of a wide range of investment structures working for both global financial institutions and specialist fund managers. Dan is an active member of several industry consultation and steering groups which develop funds policy and regulation, including his technical work for the Jersey Funds Association.
Mr German has been working at Carey Olsen since 2005 in the banking and finance team and specialises in finance, including local and international banking, real estate finance and more general corporate work. He advises financial institutions, trustees, borrowers and other entities on all aspects of Jersey corporate law and is highly regarded. Recently, he acted on the UK’s first securitisation of commercial real estate assets since the onset of the financial crisis and continues to act on large restructurings. He is also leading the firm’s initiative on the new Jersey Security Interests Law.
Managing partner in Jersey, Alex Ohlsson, said: “Daniel and Peter are both experts in their respective areas and are committed to delivering the highest level of client service. Their appointments are a valuable addition to the quality and breadth of our corporate, finance and funds group.”
