Five senior promotions at Carey Olsen

Carey Olsen has made five senior promotions across its Jersey, London, Hong Kong SAR and Singapore offices.

In the firm's corporate practice, Claire Brazenall and Rebecca McQuillan (Jersey), Bryony Bird (London) and Alastair King (Singapore) have each been promoted to senior associate. Dhanshuklal Vekaria, a member of the Hong Kong dispute resolution and insolvency team, has also been made a senior associate.

Claire Brazenall advises on all aspects of the establishment, regulation and operation of investment funds. She also has considerable experience advising clients on a wide range of restructurings, co-investments and portfolio acquisitions and financings.

Rebecca McQuillan joined the corporate team in 2014 and has a diverse finance practice, with a particular focus on acquisition finance, fund finance and restructuring. Rebecca advises both multinational and local clients, acting bank side and for sponsors and corporate borrowers.

Bryony Bird, who joined the Jersey corporate team in 2012 before moving to Carey Olsen's London office in 2016, specialises in debt capital markets and structured finance transactions for a range of clients including global financial institutions, private equity firms and issuers.

Alastair King joined the Singapore corporate team in 2017, having previously qualified and practised in the London funds team of a global law firm before spending a year in Carey Olsen's Cayman office. He advises on a wide range of investment funds, general corporate and commercial law matters.

Dhanshuklal Vekaria has a broad range of offshore and general commercial litigation experience, advising and acting in relation to the liquidation and winding up of a number of offshore private corporates, trust and fund structures, disputes in relation to private client trusts and probate, fair valuation disputes, injunction and freezing orders and corporate restructuring disputes.
