Former Carey Olsen partner announced as Jersey's new Deputy Bailiff
Carey Olsen congratulates former partner Robert MacRae QC on his appointment to the office of Deputy Bailiff of Jersey.
Mr MacRae will replace the current Deputy Bailiff, Tim Le Cocq, who is due to become Bailiff in October 2019 following the retirement of Sir William Bailhache.
Mr MacRae joined Carey Olsen's Jersey office as a partner in the firm's dispute resolution and litigation practice in 2005. He was appointed a Crown Advocate in 2008 before leaving the firm in 2015 to become Attorney General of Jersey.
Carey Olsen chairman John Kelleher said: "We are very proud that Robert is to become Jersey's next Deputy Bailiff. He played a significant role in the development and growth of our dispute resolution and litigation practice before his departure in 2015. We wish him all the very best in the next chapter of his legal life and career."
