New entries in leading list of powerful women in the finance sector
Carey Olsen continues to lead the field in the latest Citywealth IFC Power Women Top 200, with six of the firm’s lawyers included in the list.
Compiled by Citywealth, a finance sector networking and publishing group, the Top 200 recognises leading and influential women in government, private wealth, private client advisory and philanthropy across the international financial centres (IFCs).
The list celebrates powerful women from diverse backgrounds and fields and provides insight into their thoughts on business excellence, role models and on giving back to their communities. The research also found that they share collective qualities of charisma, integrity and innovation and that their management style is motivational, results-orientated and collaborative, which resonates with the modern workforce.
The Top 200 is compiled after extensive research, recommendations and testimonials from leading figures in the financial services industry with the objective of championing women in the wealth sector and highlighting female leaders.
New to the list are partners Natasha Kapp and Siobhan Riley, based in Guernsey and Jersey respectively, who join partner Karen Le Cras, partner Elaine Gray and senior associate Alison MacKrill from Guernsey as well as senior associate Sharon Mungall from the British Virgin Islands office on the list.
Ms Le Cras, head of litigation and dispute resolution Guernsey, who has featured in the list since its inception in 2013, said: "Our inclusion is a positive endorsement that reflects the calibre of our work as well as the supportive and meritocratic culture of Carey Olsen.”
