Six Carey Olsen lawyers named as 'Top 35 Under 35' private client advisers
Six lawyers from across Carey Olsen's Guernsey and Jersey offices are featured in the 2019 eprivateclient Channel Islands Top 35 Under 35, leading the field in the offshore legal sector.
It is the second time that the private client publication has compiled a Channel Islands-specific version of its long-running Top 35 Under 35 initiative, having included five Carey Olsen lawyers in the inaugural edition last year. As always, the list looks to identify, recognise, promote and introduce the rising stars of the private client adviser community.
The 2019 edition features Julie Currie who divides her time between Carey Olsen's Guernsey and Jersey offices as well as Elliot Aron, Chloe Carnachan and Alexandra Gill (all Guernsey), and Nichola Aldridge and Oliver Lindop (both Jersey).
Julie, a senior associate in the trusts and private wealth practice, specialises in pensions and advises local and international trustee clients as well as employers and pension providers on scheme governance, administration and regulatory issues, in addition to project work including bulk transfers, benefit change exercises, scheme restructures and risk transfers.
Elliot, a senior associate in the dispute resolution and litigation group, advises international and local clients on a wide range of contentious matters, specialising in complex and high-value commercial and trust disputes.
Chloe, an associate in the trusts and private wealth practice, advises on all aspects of fiduciary law, with a particular focus on non-contentious trust and foundations matters, as well as matters of Guernsey inheritance.
Alexandra, an associate in the trusts and private wealth practice, advises on various aspects of fiduciary and trusts law. She specialises on all aspects of data protection compliance and has a keen interest in the interplay between privacy and disclosure.
Russell Clark, managing partner of Carey Olsen's Guernsey office, said: "Inclusion on the Top 35 Under 35 list is a tremendous achievement and underlines the high regard in which Julie, Elliot, Chloe and Alexandra are held by the wider industry. It shows that their hard work is not only appreciated by us as a firm, but also by clients and their advisers."
Nichola, a senior associate in the trusts and private wealth practice, specialises in trusts law and acts for trust company businesses, family offices and high net worth clients, with a primary focus on non-contentious trust matters. In particular, she advises on the establishment, operation, restructuring and winding-up of private and commercial trust structures.
Oliver, an associate in the dispute resolution and litigation group, advises Jersey businesses on regulatory compliance matters and international sanctions, and has significant recent experience of high value trust litigation and asset recovery disputes.
Siobhan Riley, partner and head of the trusts and private wealth group in Jersey, commented: "Julie, Nichola and Oliver are each developing their specialist areas of practice and are well-deserving of their recognition by eprivateclient. The achievement also demonstrates what a bright future all three have ahead of them."
A champagne reception to honour the 35 men and 35 women who have been recognised by eprivateclient will be held in Jersey on Tuesday 18 June.
