Ten Carey Olsen lawyers recognised on 2012 Citywealth Leaders’ List

Carey Olsen has more lawyers recommended in Guernsey and Jersey than any other offshore law firm, according to the Citywealth Leaders’ List 2012.

Ten Carey Olsen lawyers, including seven in Guernsey and three in Jersey, have been named in the 7th annual leaders’ list which is compiled by Citywealth magazine and profiles noted professionals from across the private wealth management sector.

In Guernsey, deputy managing partner, Russell Clark, and fiduciary partner, Konrad Friedlaender, were named in the main honours list. Property partner, Davey Le Marquand, and fiduciary group consultant, Mike Eades, were recognised as prominent figures. Managing partner, John Greenfield, and partner, Karen Le Cras, were named as prominent figures in contentious trusts and senior associate, Alison MacKrill, made the main honours list as a leading trustee.

In Jersey, the head of the fiduciary law group, partner Paul Matthams, has been named on the main honours list as has partner Robert MacRae for contentious trusts. Partner Siobhan Riley has been noted as a prominent figure.

The list is compiled annually after extensive research and consultation with global peers and private client recommendations including references and testimonials.

Carey Olsen chairman John Kelleher said: “To have 10 lawyers recognised in this prestigious list clearly demonstrates our expertise and ability to provide the best quality advice for private client work across the Channel Islands.

“It is particularly noteworthy that we have more named individuals in the Channel Islands than any other firm.”
