Carey Olsen advises XLMedia plc on admission to AIM

Carey Olsen has advised XLMedia PLC, a leading online marketing company, on its recent migration to Jersey and subsequent listing on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.

The XLMedia group is one of the largest independent online traffic providers to the gambling industry, generating customer traffic for over 120 online gambling operators. The listing raised approximately $48.4 million in net proceeds for the group, part of which is intended to be used for the acquisition of marketing companies in the EU and US from an identified pipeline of opportunities to accelerate organic growth and expansion into new territories.

Carey Olsen corporate partner Guy Coltman led the team that advised on the Jersey aspects of the listing. Mr. Coltman was assisted by David Allen, senior associate, and David Taylor, associate. Carey Olsen acted alongside a Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP team, led by Alex Latner, who acted as principal legal advisers to XLMedia PLC on the listing.

Mr. Coltman said: “We are delighted to have been involved in bringing XLMedia to market. This successful listing is another endorsement for Jersey as a domicile of choice for international companies looking to list in London as well as in other international markets.  We wish XLMedia every success with the next stage of its development."

Carey Olsen has an excellent track record in advising on listings on many of the main international markets: as at February 2014, the Corporate Advisers Rankings Guide (formerly known as the Morningstar All-Market Rankings Guide) places Carey Olsen in the top five law firms by the number of London Stock Exchange and AIM clients it advises and in the top 15 for the number of FTSE 100 clients. Carey Olsen is the only offshore law firm to be ranked alongside UK legal advisers in the top five.
