Marine assets company launches on LSE Specialist Fund Market

Nimrod Sea Assets Limited has successfully launched its initial public offering on the Specialist Fund Market of the London Stock Exchange with advice from Carey Olsen's funds team in Guernsey.

The Guernsey-domiciled company has a market capitalisation of US$130 million and aims to provide shareholders with favourable returns by acquisition, charter and sale of marine assets associated with the offshore oil and gas industry. It will acquire minority interests in special purpose holding companies each of which will, ordinarily, hold a single marine asset.

Corporate partner, Ben Morgan, led the Carey Olsen team and was supported by associate John Scanlan. Carey Olsen has previously advised on the successful listing of aircraft investment company Doric Nimrod Air Three. This is Nimrod Capital LLP’s 9th listing since April 2008.

Advocate Morgan said: “This launch is another example of our expertise in LSE Specialist Fund Market launches and further demonstrates Guernsey’s status as the jurisdiction of choice for non-UK LSE investment companies.”
