Adrian Sarchet

Senior Associate

Adrian’s principal speciality is in company law and he was the author of Carey Olsen’s Guide to the Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008 (as amended).  He also specialises in the law relating to limited partnerships and provides corporate support to the litigation and dispute resolution group on complex corporate cases.

Adrian is regularly instructed by global law firms and financial institutions and is the principal contact for a number of leading funds.

Adrian's recent notable transactions include acting for Aviva plc in its £5.6 billion acquisition of Friends Life Group Limited by way of a Guernsey Scheme of Arrangement.

Career

Adrian qualified as a solicitor with Martineau Johnson in September 2001.  He joined Carey Olsen in October 2001.  He was called as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey in January 2002.
