Caitlin is an associate in Carey Olsen's dispute resolution and litigation practice in Jersey.
Caitlin has experience in advising on a wide range of civil and commercial disputes, including: company disputes; contractual disputes; shareholder, investor and funds disputes; contentious trust issues and debt-recovery and insolvency matters.
Caitlin joined Carey Olsen in 2019, having trained in Scotland at leading international law firm Dentons UK and Middle East LLP. Caitlin gained experience in a wide range of commercial disputes during her traineeship including in contractual disputes, property-related disputes and disputes involving director's duties as well as in negligence, defamation, insolvency and debt-recovery matters. She was admitted as a solicitor in Scotland in September 2019.
Caitlin obtained an LLB (First Class with Honours) from the University of Edinburgh in 2016. She obtained the Professional Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Strathclyde in 2017. In respect of the PDLP, Caitlin was awarded the Law Society of Scotland Prize for Overall Merit (First Place) and the Royal Faculty of Procurators Prize for Civil Litigation (Joint First Place).
Alongside her traineeship, Caitlin also acted as a Tutor on the International and European Media Law (LLM) Course at the University of Edinburgh from 2016 to 2019.
