Kent is counsel in the corporate team based in Bermuda. A specialist in corporate and commercial law, Kent specialises in corporate finance and structuring, particularly in an insurance company context. In particular, Kent has experience assisting clients with the licensing and ongoing regulatory filing requirements of insurance and reinsurance companies (including brokers and agents), as well as mergers and acquisitions, re-domestications, reorganisations, debt and equity financing, segregated accounts, securitisations, joint ventures, corporate governance and integration restructuring.

Career

Kent joined Carey Olsen in February 2021 following 15 years at another offshore law firm in Bermuda.

Prior to pursuing law, Kent spent eighteen years in the insurance industry in various capacities involving all aspects of insurance, reinsurance and captive company operations with a primary emphasis on claims and underwriting.
