Melanie Le Marquand


Melanie specialises in trusts law advising professional and private trustees.

Melanie has twelve years’ experience dealing with a variety of trust and fiduciary related issues previously on the more contentious side and latterly in the last six years non-contentious issues including interpretation of trust provisions, changes of trustee, termination of trusts, disclosure of information.  She has also advised on various probate related issues.  She has a good practical knowledge of the judicial system and has assisted on various applications to the Court by trustees or beneficiaries.  


Melanie joined Carey Olsen in 2000 from the Judicial Greffe where she was a clerk to the Royal Court for five years.  She spent five years in the Litigation Practice Group and qualified as a Jersey solicitor in 2004.  In 2006 she moved to the Fiduciary Law Group.
