Samantha Hoare

Senior Associate

Sam is an Advocate in our Dispute Resolution and Litigation team. She has a broad commercial litigation practice ranging from contractual and professional negligence cases to property disputes. Sam has a particular interest and focus on public law and has developed a niche practice in planning law matters. She has also worked on a number of high profile multi-jurisdictional contentious trust cases for both our Jersey and Guernsey offices. Sam has experience managing large and complex discovery exercises in a number of high value claims and has gained extensive technical knowledge in this area.  Sam's experience includes cases which have been before all levels of the courts in Jersey including the Court of Appeal and the highest appellate court, the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. Sam continues to advise on a range of matters which include competition law, immigration law and customary law.

Career

Sam obtained a first class degree in Law with Criminology (LLB) from Keele University in 2006 and received the Andrew McMurtrie memorial prize in 2005.  Sam completed the Bar Vocational Course at the College of Law, London in 2007.
