Carey Olsen advises Birkenstock on New York Stock Exchange listing
Jersey's corporate team has advised Birkenstock on its initial public offering of $46 per share on the New York Stock Exchange.
Founded in 1774, Birkenstock is a German shoe manufacturer and one of the top five footwear brands in the world. Renowned for the comfort, functionality and high quality of its products, it is the German footwear industry's largest employer and sells products in 90 countries spanning each continent.
The Carey Olsen team advising was led by partner Guy Coltman, assisted by senior associate Steven Khan and trainee Zoe Salisbury. Kirkland & Ellis acted as lead counsel.
Birkenstock began trading on October 11 2023, under the symbol "BIRK".
