Carey Olsen advises DMALINK Jersey Limited's Bloomsbury Money business on Jersey MSB licence

Carey Olsen has advised DMALINK Jersey Limited on its successful application to the Jersey Financial Services Commission for a money services business licence in Jersey, further expanding the company’s regulated offering.

The company, which will trade under the name "Bloomsbury Money", already holds a virtual asset service provider registration in Jersey and will now be able to offer additional services under its MSB licence. Bloomsbury Money will offer corporate, institutional and high net worth private wealth clients a unified platform for daily banking, featuring virtual and real IBANs, debit cards, credit cards and seamless fiat-to-digital asset services. By providing access to over 100 currencies on demand, the platform will allow users to handle everything from standard corporate payments to complex digital asset conversions in one place. The development supports the company’s broader strategy to provide integrated financial services spanning both fiat and digital assets.

The Carey Olsen team advising DMALINK Jersey Limited was led by partner Christopher Griffin, supported by regulatory specialist lawyer Sophie Hancock.

Christopher Griffin, partner at Carey Olsen, said: “This licensing represents a significant step in the continued development of Jersey’s digital and fintech ecosystem. It demonstrates the strength and adaptability of the Island’s regulatory framework in supporting innovative businesses operating across both traditional and digital financial services.”

Michael Siwek, Founder of Bloomsbury Money said: “We didn’t just want to build another banking app; we wanted to build a bridge. By integrating institutional-grade FX tech with everyday banking, we’re making it possible for fiat and digital assets to live side-by-side in a way that actually makes sense for a treasurer or a private office.”
