Carey Olsen provides legal advice to government and the public sector in respect of regulatory and financing advice, property matters (including acquisitions, disposals and development projects), infrastructure projects, public private partnerships and joint venture agreements.
Advice in this sector also includes regulatory investigations, court applications and assisting in litigation matters.
The firm is sole adviser to the Ports of Jersey in connection with its extensive portfolio which includes the Island's airport, harbours and gateways, and is the sole adviser to the States of Jersey Development Company in connection with the development of Jersey's International Finance Centre on the Jersey Waterfront.
The firm has also undertaken the issue of convertible bonds for government to finance social housing and other infrastructure projects.

We also acted for the Guernsey regulator, the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC), regarding the Providence Global compulsory liquidation matters.
