Carey Olsen partner Matthew Watson has been recognised in the LexisNexis 40 Under 40 Hong Kong SAR List, which celebrates legal professionals aged 40 and under who are helping to shape the future of the legal industry through leadership, innovation, and impact.

Based in Carey Olsen’s Hong Kong office, Matthew is a partner in the firm's Dispute Resolution and Litigation practice. He advises on complex cross-border disputes, high-value commercial and shareholder litigation (including appraisal actions), trust disputes, and insolvency-related proceedings often in connection with Hong-Kong listed companies.
Matthew is widely regarded for his deep expertise in Bermuda law having acted in many of Bermuda’s largest and long-running cases in recent history. He has received recognition in the Top 12 Offshore Litigators and Offshore Client Choice awards by Asian Legal Business and rankings in major legal directories, including Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500.
