The technical programme will start with a Regional China Update, commenting on the latest updates of the bankruptcy rules of China and covering the amendment to the PRC Enterprise Bankruptcy Law, accompanied by an analysis of the impact to China's economy.
After focusing on how cross-border restructuring regimes can be improved, the panellists will discuss and compare the developments on directors’ duties and liabilities in different jurisdictions, and explore how this area of law may develop in China in the following session.
The final session will focus on the impact of the scale of defaulted bonds on systemic financial risks and the protection of interests of the holders of these bonds, including the role of the trustees in this area.
