Junior Business Analyst (VA720)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Business Analyst to support our business improvement and change initiatives.

This entry‑level role is ideal for someone with strong analytical thinking, a curiosity for understanding how processes work, and a desire to learn how to translate business needs into clear requirements. You will work closely with senior analysts and stakeholders across the business to assist with gathering information, analysing data, drafting documentation, and supporting project delivery.

This is a development-focused role where you will be trained and supported as you build your skills and confidence.

​Principal duties include:

  • Assist in gathering business requirements through workshops and document reviews.
  • Draft clear and structured business requirements, under the guidance of the Senior Business Analyst.
  • Contribute to the creation of process maps, workflow diagrams, and simple models to help visualise business processes.
  • Support the analysis of data, helping to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support decision-making.
  • Help maintain project documentation, logs, and reports.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to observe, take notes, and support discussions.
  • Assist with testing activities such as preparing test cases, documenting results, and logging defects.
  • Conduct basic research to support business cases, problem-solving, and project work.
  • Support ongoing business operations by responding to analytical queries when needed.


We are looking for:

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to approach problems logically.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Analysis, Finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Some experience with Excel, data analysis, or business reporting tools.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working with data and able to draw basic insights or identify anomalies.
  • Eagerness to learn business analysis methods, tools, and techniques.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to draft structured notes or simple documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges and grow.

Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart) is a plus, as is basic understanding of project or business analysis frameworks (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
