VIRTUAL EVENT: Carey Olsen hosting CIPD webinar on supporting mental wellbeing at work

Counsel Huw Thomas and Senior Associate Tarina Le Boutillier will be joined by Beth Moore from Jersey Recovery College in hosting CIPD's 'Supporting mental health in the workplace' webinar on Wednesday 11 November 2020.

The Coronavirus pandemic has had a range of impacts on the workplace.  In particular, the greater incidence of working from home has led to a far greater focus on the mental health of employees.

 Now more than ever, employers will need to understand the cope of their duties to employees in connection with their mental health and more practically what can be done to support employees.

 Huw Thomas and Tarina Le Boutillier from Carey Olsen will be joined by Beth Moore from Jersey Recovery College to look at: 

  • what we mean by mental health issues in the workplace
  • what recent CIPD research says about mental health in the workplace
  • what the law says regarding health and safety and disability discrimination issues in connection with mental health
  • what managers should be aware of in connection with:
    • understanding mental health
    • creating a mental health strategy
    • educating the workforce
    • supporting someone with signs of a mental health issue

Beth will be also talking about the range of training which is available from Jersey Recovery College in connection with mental health in the workplace.
