Jasmin Davies

Jasmin is a senior associate in Carey Olsen's dispute resolution, insolvency and trusts and private wealth teams in the Cayman Islands. 

Jasmin represents a broad range of stakeholders in complex and high-value commercial and financial services litigation, shareholder disputes, fraud investigations, cross-border liquidations, restructuring mandates and trusts disputes with over a decade of specialist offshore litigation experience. Recent experience includes the successful restructuring of Luckin Coffee Inc, acting for the joint official liquidators of Abraaj Holdings Limited and representing China Shanshui Cement Group Limited in high profile winding-up proceedings. 

She is an active member of the International Women in Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), INSOL and STEP and an inaugural member of C5's Fraud, Asset Tracing and Insolvency NextGen Committee.  Jasmin has been recognised by eprivateclient's Top 35 Under 35, Citywealth's Future Leaders list and was a finalist for STEP's Young Practitioner of the Year award and has been invited to speak at seminars and conferences internationally. Jasmin is also a bilingual German speaker.

Jasmin obtained an LLB with First Class Honours from Griffith University and was awarded the university medal. She completed additional legal studies at Oxford University, the College of Law Australia and Caen University in France. She is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, the High Court of Australia and the Senior Courts of England and Wales and is a practising Cayman Islands attorney.

Prior to joining Carey Olsen, Jasmin spent five years with an international offshore law firm in the Channel Islands where she specialised in contentious trusts, commercial litigation and cross-border insolvencies and was called as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey.
