Carey Olsen strengthens Jersey banking and finance practice with quadruple hire
Carey Olsen has appointed counsel Lizzie Chamberlain and associates Lydia Gilmour, Penjani Mseteka and Raveshnee Pakkiri to its Jersey banking and finance team.
Lizzie acts for a varied client base on a range of debt finance transactions including real estate investments and development finance, investment funds financing and general corporate facilities. Lizzie is highly experienced having previously spent 11 years in the banking and finance team at Macfarlanes LLP.
Lydia is based in Carey Olsen's London office and advises clients on a variety of corporate matters, with a particular focus on banking, real estate finance, corporate finance and fund finance matters. She trained at A&L Goodbody Northern Ireland, qualifying as a solicitor in September 2020.
Jersey-based Penjani advises on a wide scope of corporate, banking and finance matters including debt finance, project finance, leveraged finance, insolvency and energy, mining and infrastructure. Prior to joining the firm, Penjani worked as an associate for Baker McKenzie (Johannesburg).
Raveshnee is based in the firm's Jersey office and advises clients on a variety of banking and finance matters. Prior to joining Carey Olsen, she worked for leading South African law firms and gained experience on a broad range of corporate finance, debt finance, restructuring, acquisition finance, real estate finance and trade finance transactions.
