Carey Olsen's Keith Robinson honoured with STEP Founder's Award for Outstanding Achievement

Keith Robinson, partner and head of the trusts and private wealth practice at Carey Olsen Bermuda Limited, has been presented with a 2021 STEP Founder's Award for Outstanding Achievement.

The Founder's Awards, which are presented on an annual basis to a select group of individuals within the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), recognise members who have made 'an exceptional and outstanding long-term contribution to the Society above and beyond that normally expected of a member, through office in their branch, or elsewhere in the voluntary life of the Society'.

Keith, who is a former chairman of STEP's Bermuda branch, is still an active member of the Society being a member of the STEP Bermuda branch committee and the editorial board of the STEP Journal which he joined in early 2020; a role in which he is tasked with representing the Caribbean region and providing feedback on proposed content, ideas for new content and suggestions for potential authors.

Ashley Fife, the current chairman of STEP's Bermuda branch and counsel at Carey Olsen, said: "I am personally delighted that Keith's contribution to STEP over many years has been recognised by his inclusion on this year's list of Founders' Award recipients. Bermuda remains one of the world's leading domiciles for trusts and STEP is an important part of this continued success. Carey Olsen's trust and private wealth practice continues to go from strength to strength which is a testament to the importance of this business sector for Bermuda"

A highly respected trust law practitioner, Keith specialises in high-value trust litigation and court approved trust restructurings, often with a multi-jurisdictional element, and is ranked globally as a Band 1 lawyer for both his dispute resolution (Chambers Global) and trusts and private wealth practice (Chambers High Net Worth).
