Alexa Saunders appointed deputy managing partner of Carey Olsen Jersey
Carey Olsen partner Alexa Saunders has been appointed as the new deputy managing partner of the firm's Jersey office, with effect from 1 July 2025.
Alexa joined Carey Olsen in 2010 and has been a partner in the trusts and private wealth group since 2016, taking on the role of head of trusts and private wealth in Jersey in 2023. She has almost 20 years' experience in the sector, regularly advising on the establishment, ongoing administration, and restructuring of private family trusts, employee benefit trusts and pension trusts.
Recognised as a Leading Partner by Legal 500 UK and ranked Band 1 for Trusts in Chambers UK, Chambers High Net Worth and Chambers Global, Alexa was also elected to The International Academy of Estate and Trust Law, a highly selective group of recognised trusts and estates experts, earlier this year.
Simon Marks, managing partner of Carey Olsen Jersey, said: "I am delighted Alexa is taking on the role of deputy managing partner here. Alexa has shown herself to be an excellent leader of our trusts and private wealth group over the past two and a half years and I look forward to working with her. We have some exciting plans for the future."
Alexa commented: "I'm very proud to take on the role of deputy managing partner and to have the opportunity to support the management and continued development of our Jersey office. It is an exciting time for the firm, and I look forward to working with Simon and the rest of our senior leadership team to advance the firm's strategy, support our colleagues in Jersey, and continue delivering outstanding legal advice to our clients."
