Carey Olsen advises on launch of Frachtis, a pre-seed crypto fund
Carey Olsen has advised on the launch of Frachtis Fund I LP ("Frachtis"), a pre-seed crypto-native investment fund designed to support early-stage builders in decentralised infrastructure, AI, middleware and consumer apps.
Frachtis has received backing from leading blockchain-focused investors including Theta Capital, RockawayX and Cyber Fund and has so far made eight early-stage investments in projects focused on DeFi middleware and AI infrastructure.
The Carey Olsen London investment funds team acting as lead legal counsel on all Cayman Islands aspects of the transaction comprised partner Jasmine Amaria and senior associate Harry Hadjiyannis.
Jasmine Amaria commented: "The launch of Frachtis' pre-seed crypto fund marks an exciting opportunity for investment in early-stage projects in decentralised AI technology and crypto consumer apps, which look set to continue dominating market interest. As a leading offshore law firm for both the funds and digital assets sectors, we were pleased to support Frachtis throughout this project and to continue our work advising innovative market-leaders in this space."
