Carey Olsen Bermuda partner Kyle Masters awarded INSOL Fellowship

Carey Olsen Bermuda partner Kyle Masters has been admitted as an INSOL Fellow following his successful completion of the Global Insolvency Practice Course (GIPC), a leading international programme for restructuring and insolvency professionals.

Delivered by INSOL International, the course brings together experienced restructuring and insolvency practitioners from major financial centres worldwide to explore the practical challenges associated with cross-border insolvency matters. Successful participants are awarded the INSOL Fellowship, a designation that is recognised internationally as a mark of advanced technical expertise and experience.

INSOL International is a global federation of insolvency and restructuring professionals, with members spanning legal, accounting and advisory disciplines. Its fellowship programme is widely regarded as one of the most established advanced qualifications in the restructuring and insolvency sector.

Kyle Masters, who advises on restructuring and insolvency matters, said the course offered a perspective that is increasingly relevant to the jurisdiction.

"Bermuda sits at the centre of many cross-border structures, so insolvency issues here are rarely confined to one jurisdiction. The course reflects that reality. It's about understanding how different systems interact and how solutions are reached in practice."

He added that working alongside peers from a range of legal and financial backgrounds was a key part of the experience.

"You're dealing with the same issues, but coming at them from different angles. That’s where the real value is. The strength is in the diversity of perspectives brought to the table by course mates."

The INSOL Fellowship joins a range of internationally recognised qualifications and professional memberships held by Carey Olsen lawyers, supporting the firm's ability to advise clients on complex restructuring and insolvency matters across jurisdictions.
