Head of Real Estate (VA753)

A new opportunity within the Corporate Services team in our Jersey office for a Head of Real Estate to lead and oversee the Real Estate proposition and its on-going client service delivery, as well as contributing to the management of the wider corporate services team. This role demands technical expertise in administration of real estate holding structures, operational excellence and a deep understanding of the regulatory and business landscape.  The successful candidate will act as a director on client boards (real estate and non-real estate).

Principal duties include:

Leadership

  • Responsibility for a portfolio of clients and the associated service delivery, relationship management, risk and financial responsibilities
  • Identify and implement synergies, opportunities and efficiencies across the broader corporate services business
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities and risks
  • Lead, motivate and develop a high performing team, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration, excellence, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor individual and team performance, and provide regular feedback

Financial Management

  • Achieve financial KPIs
  • Analyse financial data and key performance indicators to make informed business decisions ensuring the profitability and sustainable growth
  • Implement sound financial controls and risk management practices to safeguard group assets

Operations Management

  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement and adherence to best practices
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure a cohesive strategy and operational execution across the group
  • Drive operational efficiencies and the integration of innovation solutions to enhance service delivery, client satisfaction, and competitive advantage

Business Development

  • Manage client relationships, with a focus on delivering outstanding service and value, while identifying opportunities for expanding services and enhancing client engagement
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and other professional intermediaries and contacts
  • Represent the firm in industry forums, conferences, and professional associations, enhancing its profile and networking with potential clients and partners

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' experience within the corporate services sector, with a strong track record preferably in the Channel Islands market, along with in-depth knowledge of corporate services, governance and regulatory environment and financial regulations.

Excellent leadership and management skills are essential, with a proven record of fostering a high-performance culture, strong client relationship management skills, and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.

A university degree and / or a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Corporate Governance Institute / Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) is required.
