We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to lead and deliver AI-related projects across the firm, ensuring that AI technology, data and business change initiatives are planned, governed and implemented effectively. 

Based in our Southampton office, this role will play a key part in delivering AI initiatives across the business. Working closely with business leaders, technology teams, risk, legal, compliance and external partners, you will turn AI opportunities into successful projects, leading delivery from planning through to implementation and adoption. You will help ensure AI solutions are delivered responsibly, with effective governance, stakeholder engagement and measurable business benefits.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Lead AI projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to agreed objectives.
  • ​Turn business needs into clear project plans, priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Create and manage project plans, budgets, resources, risks and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across the business, technology, data, risk, legal and external suppliers to keep projects moving forward.
  • Oversee AI solution delivery, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation and handover to operational teams.
  • Work with technical specialists to understand AI solutions and ensure business requirements are met.
  • Support testing and validation activities to ensure solutions are fit for purpose before launch.
  • Lead change initiatives by managing stakeholder engagement, communications, training and adoption activities.
  • Track project benefits and outcomes to ensure AI solutions deliver lasting business value.
  • Maintain strong project governance, managing risks, issues, dependencies and approvals.
  • Support responsible AI practices by considering privacy, security, compliance and ethical requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, project meetings and decision-making forums.
  • Prepare clear project updates and reports for senior stakeholders and governance committees.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of AI project delivery, governance and change management practices.
  • Support and coach colleagues to build confidence and capability in adopting AI-driven change.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a proactive Project Manager with experience delivering technology and business change projects. You will be an organised and effective communicator, able to work across business and technical teams, manage stakeholders and drive successful adoption of AI and digital solutions.

You should bring:

  • At least 3 years' experience in project management, delivering technology and business change projects.
  • Experience managing AI, data, analytics, automation or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies and delivery frameworks.
  • Knowledge of AI technologies, including generative AI, machine learning and automation.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, governance, privacy, security and compliance principles.
  • Experience supporting business change through stakeholder engagement, communications, training and adoption activities.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and best practice.
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including business leaders, technical teams, suppliers and governance functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project or Jira.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and budget management abilities.
  • Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and governance groups.
  • Experience within regulated, professional services or financial services environments is desirable.
  • Knowledge of information security, AI governance or responsible AI practices would be an advantage.
  • PRINCE2, PMQ, PMP or equivalent project management qualification preferred. AI, data or change management certifications are beneficial.
