We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Marketing and Business Development Manager to join our Cayman office. The post holder will support the growth of our Cayman corporate practice, with particular focus on the US and Latin America markets, by developing and implementing a suite of agreed marketing and business development plans and initiatives.
Principal duties will include:
Marketing and Business Development
- Support on preparation of business development activities such as pitches, proposals, capability statements or other client presentation materials, working closely with relevant Legal partners and Manager
- Maintain and work with BD infrastructure, including standard pitch content, credentials database and client relationship management software
- Support the Manager on the development and execution of marketing campaigns
Events
- Support on the organisation and planning of global practice area industry and client events and seminars, liaising with corporate partners in Bermuda and BVI as necessary
- Work with CO delegates in organising client meetings / target client interactions at events and work with them on follow-ups
- Liaise with third party suppliers, providers and industry organisations to secure sponsorship agreements and event services
- Attend / provide front of house support at events as required
- Promote relevant events on the website and social media platforms
- Support on the organisation of on-island CSR events and client hospitality for the wider Cayman office
BD Trips
- Work with the wider M&BD team as necessary, help plan and support on follows ups from BD trips into North America and Latin America
Legal Directories & Awards
- Support on legal directories and awards for identified corporate practice areas, using the firm's standard template
Team and collaboration
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team as required to assist brand campaigns and internal/external communications
Experience and Professional Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a marketing or business development role in a legal/ partnership environment, operating across multiple international offices
- Experience organising global events, coordinating delegates and attendees across multiple offices and regions
- Some knowledge of the relevant practice areas, sectors, key industry events and products in the relevant jurisdictions alongside a strong understanding of core BD disciplines, including CRM and directories is preferred
- Bachelors degree required
- CIM or similar essential
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with the partnership and business services
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively interact with peers and influence internal clients including senior stakeholders
- Enthusiastic and proactive, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects and activities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong team player
