Interested in a career in law and want to experience what working at a leading offshore law firm is really like? Our Guernsey Work Experience Scheme gives you the opportunity to spend a week with Carey Olsen, gaining valuable insight into legal practice and life at the firm.
You’ll spend the week working with one of our legal teams, giving you the chance to develop a deeper understanding of a particular practice area. During your placement, you’ll have opportunities to:
- shadow client calls and see our lawyers in action
- meet our Trainees and Associates and hear about their journey into law
- attend sessions led by our Partners
- put your skills into practice through a legal research task
- network with other students and Trainees
The scheme is designed for students with an interest in law who are keen to learn more about the profession and gain first-hand experience of working in a law firm.
2027 placement dates
Our Work Experience Scheme will run twice in 2027:
- Monday 28 June – Friday 2 July 2027
- Monday 19 July – Friday 23 July 2027
Applicants must be residentially qualified in Guernsey.
