Catherine O'Connell

Catherine moved to the BVI in 2018 and since then has gained considerable BVI litigation experience. Her caseload has largely involved shareholder disputes, fraud and asset tracing, trust litigation and insolvency proceedings. Catherine has conducted litigation before the BVI Commercial Court, ECSC Court of Appeal and the Privy Council.

Catherine worked at Walkers in the BVI before joining the team at Carey Olsen. Prior to that she worked at A&L Goodbody in Dublin where she trained and qualified. Catherine was admitted to the roll of solicitors in Ireland in January 2016, and was admitted to the Senior Courts of England and Wales in October 2017 (currently non-practising). Catherine was admitted in the BVI in 2018.

Catherine graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree.

Catherine is a member of the BVI Bar Association and the Women's Offshore Network.
