Mark is an associate in Carey Olsen's corporate team, based in the Cayman Islands. He specialises in fintech and digital assets, with a background in financial services and fintech regulation.

Mark advises on structuring and regulatory advice, including token issuances, crypto-payment and lending facilities, early-stage fundraising, DeFi protocols, decentralised autonomous organisations, centralised and decentralised exchanges, wallet providers, VC funds, and NFT and gaming platforms. In addition, Mark advises in the regulated sector in connection with registration and licensing applications under the Cayman Islands VASP regime.

Mark is an accomplished speaker and writer, covering several topics in the financial services and fintech industry.

Career

Prior to joining Carey Olsen in January 2025, Mark gained various experience in the financial services and fintech industry, including roles at Piper Alderman and ANZ Bank in Australia.

Mark graduated from Deakin University, Melbourne, in 2018 with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of International Studies. Mark obtained a Juris Doctor degree (Distinction) from the University of New South Wales in 2020 and was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2021.
