Career

Prior to joining Carey Olsen, Ryan was an associate in the international arbitration team of a U.S. law firm, where he handled a wide range of commercial, finance, energy and investor-state disputes. Before that, he trained under one of the world's leading arbitrators, as well as in one of Singapore's top litigation firms. He has also served as tribunal secretary in high-value commercial arbitrations under most leading arbitral rules and in diverse seats.

Ryan graduated with first class honours from the National University of Singapore and has an LLM from New York University. He was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2018.
