Sam Alder

Sam is an associate in the trusts and private wealth team at Carey Olsen Bermuda Limited.

Sam specialises in a broad range of private client matters, including trusts, estate planning, wills, powers of attorney, and the administration of estates, often with a cross-border element.

Sam joined Carey Olsen in 2025 from the legal team of an international multi-family office in London. Prior to that, he trained at a long-established firm in London and worked offshore in the Isle of Man.

Sam was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in October 2019. He graduated from the University of York with a degree in History of Art and subsequently completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in London.

Sam is an associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is working towards his TEP designation.
