Yana also has experience advising fund sponsors and institutional investors on the formation and operation of, and investments in, private investment funds, with a particular focus on private equity and hedge funds.

Yana is admitted to practice in New York and the Russian Federation.

Career

Prior to joining Carey Olsen in 2026, Yana worked at leading US law firms in Seoul and New York, advising on investment funds and finance transactions, including fund formation and subscription and NAV facilities.

Earlier in her career, Yana worked at a magic circle firm in Moscow, where she gained experience in M&A and capital markets.

Yana holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School and an LL.B. and LL.M. from Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
