Carey Olsen promotes two new partners in Jersey and Singapore

Carey Olsen is pleased to welcome Huw Thomas in Jersey and Helen Wang in Singapore to the partnership with effect from 1 January 2023.

The two promotions bring the total number of partners across the Carey Olsen group to 69.

Employment lawyer Huw joins the Carey Olsen partnership in Jersey. Huw is a key member of the firm's Channel Islands employment practice and has played a central role in its development over the last 10 years.  Huw has wide ranging experience in dealing with a variety of employment issues.  He has also developed significant knowledge and experience in relation to data protection and information management. Huw joined Carey Olsen in 2010.  His prior roles include working for a leading employment law firm in the City of London. He is recognised by the Legal 500 as a Leading Individual and as a Band 1 lawyer by Chambers UK.

Helen is an expert in litigation, insolvency and restructuring and joins Carey Olsen's Singapore partnership. She has extensive experience advising clients on complex cross-border litigation and handling high value disputes covering a variety of sectors, including banking and financial services, digital asset and crypto, high net-worth individuals and energy and resources. Helen specialises in commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, restructuring and insolvency, fraud and investigatory cases. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Helen trained and qualified as a litigator at the international law firm, Clifford Chance.
