Carey Olsen advises Azos on US$24 million Series C round

Carey Olsen has advised Brazilian insurtech Azos on its US$24 million Series C funding round, led by São Paulo and Buenos Aires-based venture capital firm Kaszek and investor Kevin Efrusy.

Azos will use the capital to expand the use of artificial intelligence across its insurance platforms and in turn increase automation, enabling the company to grow its product offering, scale its operations and improve customer experience.

Founded in 2020, Azos provides customisable life and health insurance policies that allow customers to update their coverage and premium payments to fit their needs. Having doubled its revenue in 2025, the company now manages over US$21.1 billion in policies under management, accounting for more than 1% of Brazil's individual life insurance market.

The Carey Olsen Cayman Islands corporate team advising Azos comprised partner Trevor McCabe and senior associate Evan Stitt, alongside Brazilian legal counsel BZCP.

Trevor McCabe commented: "Azos' latest funding round marks a significant milestone for the company, demonstrating how, in a rapidly evolving insurtech market, insurers embracing the use of AI to automate processes and enhance customer experience are among those that stand out the most. Carey Olsen has extensive experience advising on venture capital investments in Latin America, and we are pleased to have supported on yet another successful transaction that points to the increasing prevalence of innovative technology-driven startups in the region."
