Carey Olsen advises Humand on US$66 million fundraise for AI-powered workforce platform

Carey Olsen has advised Buenos Aires-based technology company Humand on its US$66 million Series A funding round to expand its AI-powered operating system for deskless workers.

The round was co-led by Kaszek and Goodwater Capital, with participation from Y Combinator and investors such as Dropbox founder Arash Ferdowsi and Vercel founder Guillermo Rauch.

Founded in 2020, Humand provides an all-in-one, AI-powered employee experience app designed to centralise internal communication, company culture and HR operations for employees – with a particular focus on the deskless workers that make up 80% of the global workforce. It is currently used by more than 1,500 companies and 1.6 million employees across multiple industries.

With the new capital, Humand will drive expansion in the United States and support growth in the 51 countries where the platform is already used. It will also be used to accelerate AI development, including AI agents to support day-to-day tasks, and expand automaton across communication, HR and operations.

The Cayman Islands corporate team advising Humand comprised partner Trevor McCabe and senior associate Evan Stitt, alongside U.S. counsel WilmerHale.

Trevor McCabe commented: "It was a privilege to support Humand on this highly successful funding round, which points to strong investor confidence in the company's mission to transform employee experience with AI-driven technology. Our involvement draws on Carey Olsen's expertise in advising fast-growing technology companies across Latin America, while also highlighting the continued importance of using Cayman structures to facilitate major venture capital investments."
