Carey Olsen attending IPBA Annual Meeting and Conference 2024, Tokyo
Carey Olsen partner Jeremy Lightfoot will be speaking at the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) Annual Meeting and Conference taking place on 24-27 April in Tokyo, Japan.
The theme for the IPBA Annual Meeting and Conference 2024 in Tokyo is “New World, New Wisdom”, and brings together business and commercial lawyers who live, or have a strong interest, in the Asia Pacific region.
Hong Kong partner Jeremy Lightfoot will be speaking at the conference on a panel session entitled, "Minority Report: Corporate governance, directors and the state of shareholder litigation playbook." Hong Kong managing partner Michael Padarin will also be in attendance.
Minority shareholder litigation comprises a significant portion of corporate disputes. The panel speakers from a variety of jurisdictions will share their views and perspective and discuss the rights, remedies and reliefs available to minority shareholders against a company and its directors, the interaction between minority shareholder action and arbitration, best practices in managing minority shareholder rights and interests, and the key trends and developments in this space.
